About TSC
Simon Datson
Head Consultant and Company Director
As a director and head consultant for TSC, Simon has 14 years’ experience delivering carnivals and develops most of what is presented by TSC into schools. He is experienced in all areas of the company and is responsible for all staff training, program and equipment development. Following his completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement), Simon has worked as a coach and manager in tandem with his commitment to TSC. As a keen athlete, Simon has represented Victoria in athletics and has also represented the ECA in cricket.
Karen Miles
Company Director
Karen trained as a teacher, working in both Melbourne and Mildura before working with hearing impaired children. Today, Karen is a director of both Tabloid Sports Carnivals and Australian Sports Camps. She is passionate about giving students the ability to reach their potential both physically and socially by being involved in activity. She has three children and resides in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria.
Tony Miles
Company Director
Tony Miles is a director of Tabloid Sports Carnivals and Australian Sports Camps with 30 years of experience in organising sports camps for children and helping to deliver the Tabloid Sports Carnivals programs into schools around Australia.
Brad Wooding
School Sports Consultant, QLD
Brad Wooding has been with TSC since 1998. He started our operation in Sydney and then after 10 successful years took up the challenge of developing our presence in Queensland. Brad is a qualified PE teacher with over 16 years teaching experience and has taught in New South Wales, Queensland, the UK, Spain and Germany. He currently runs a range of sports events for parties, fetes, holiday programs and corporate functions, and has a long history coaching and umpiring both junior and senior sport. Among other things, Brad takes great delight in his young family and is passionate about encouraging a love of games in children.
Robert Elliott
School Sports Consultant, NSW
Rob started with TSC at the beginning of 2008, having just completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and a Diploma of Education at ACU in Strathfield. Prior to this, Rob worked for 4 years at a variety of Aquatic Centres as a Swim Instructor, and has worked with the Australian Sports Commission’s Active After-School program. Aside from running sport carnivals all over NSW, Rob currently works casually as a PE teacher in local schools, and is involved with Australian Sports Camps as a Youth Leader.
Matt Knott
Specialist Holiday Consultant
Matt joined TSC in 2004 and has worked as an assistant and a consultant. Matt worked with TSC throughout his course to becoming a teacher; in which he recently completed and is now a qualified primary school teacher. Matt will continue to work with TSC as a consultant and as an assistant, as well as CRT at various schools. Matt is an active level one cricket coach, and is also a level one Aussie Rules football coach; in addition, has experience in coaching indoor sports such as cricket and beach volleyball.
Kyle Chandler
Specialist Consultant and Assistant, VIC
After finishing high school, Kyle complete a Bachelor of Commerce (Sport Management) and is particularly interested in the study of how sport can play a role in the development of both individuals and society as a whole. A keen participant in Australian Football, indoor and outdoor soccer and cricket, Kyle is also an active level one senior and junior cricket coach and has worked with Australian Sports Camps and the Australian Sports Commission’s Active After-School programs. For Tabloid Sports Carnivals Kyle can be found in the office and also in the field as a consultant or assistant facilitating programs.
Jonathan Smith
Assistant
After finishing high school, Jonathan is currently studying a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University and is interested in becoming a civil engineer in the near future. Jonathan plays a wide array of sports including Cricket, football and Soccer and for Tabloid Sports Carnivals Jonathan can be found in the field assisting the consultants on carnivals.
Caz Datson
Specialist Consultant
Following her completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement), Carolyn or “Caz” as she is more commonly known, worked as a gymnastics coach at privately owned gyms and the Victorian Institute of Gymnastics, coaching elite gymnasts. As a qualified teacher, Caz balances her time between teaching, being a mother to her two small children and as a consultant for TSC. Caz has a keen interest in sports especially gymnastics, diving, netball and following her beloved Saints.
